LANXESS showcased water and wastewater treatment solutions at Aquatech India 2014

Business unit Liquid Purification Technologies presented its premium products Lewatit®, Lewabrane® and LewaPlus™ design software

LANXESS business unit Liquid Purification Technologies (LPT) showcased solutions for water and wastewater treatment from its Lewatit® and Lewabrane® product range along with LewaPlus™ design software at Aquatech India 2014 in New Delhi. It exhibited the applications of its solutions in the area of potable water, raw water and process water.

About Lewabrane®:
The Lewabrane® RO membrane elements family consists of spiral-wound, thin-film composite membrane elements designed specifically for water treatment applications. The RO membrane chemistry and element construction is designed to provide optimized, low-cost operation for downstream unit applications, like separate-bed or mixed-bed ion exchange units. Lewatit® is one of the leading brands from LANXESS in the field of water treatment using ion exchange resins. About LewaPlus™:

The LewaPlus™ design software is a comprehensive tool for engineering systems that use Lewatit® ion exchange resins (IX) and Lewabrane® membrane elements for reverse osmosis (RO). The application calculates RO system configurations and their output, including feed pressure and permeates quality. LewaPlus™ is the only software application that can design an entire reverse osmosis process with downstream ion exchange, and the only one that can integrate in its calculations post-treatment involving a degasification system or chemical addition. This is a typical application for water treatment in power plants. The combination of membrane separation and ion exchange ensures that efficiency and economy go hand in hand. Read more here
