LANXESS at PAINTINDIA 2012, Mumbai, February 23-25, 2012, Booth No: B-6, Bombay Exhibition Centre

PAINTINDIA is India’s proud global event for the paints, coatings, inks, construction chemicals and adhesives-sealants industries. The exhibition and conference will be complemented by various parallel conferences addressing different subjects related to formulation technology and application knowhow for the coatings sector. Besides this, with the PAINTSHOP 2012 segment the exhibitors' profile is also expanded to include paint manufacturers and formulators for both liquid and powder applications, manufacturers of pre-treatment and corrosion prevention chemicals, manufacturers of spray-guns and other paint application equipment, paint booths for OEM applications and quality assurance systems.

Products Information:
LANXESS showcased products from its business units Inorganic Pigments (IPG) and Material Protection Products (MPP) at the PaintIndia 2012 exhibition.

The IPG business unit presented its wide variety of iron oxide and chrome oxide pigments, which are marketed under world recognized Bayferrox® and Colortherm® ranges. These innovative and quality products are noted for their outstanding lightfastness, their weather and chemical resistance, and their environmentally friendly application properties.

For many decades, LANXESS pigments have been firmly established in a wide variety of applications and used to color a variety of products, including concrete, automotive topcoats, rubber, paper, artificial turf and colored mulch for garden landscaping. The business unit’s most important market is the construction industry, accounting for approximately 50% of sales. LANXESS’s pigments have also been used in surface coatings, plastics, paper and, as special pigments, in toners and other applications.

The Material Protection Products (MPP) business unit featured its Preventol® brand of products. These products impart high stability to water based industrial products by controlling the microbial count. This in turn prevents the spoilage of the products being preserved and helps retain the physical characteristics of the products. Due to their low toxicity and environmentally friendly nature, these products are being increasingly preferred by the industry. The Preventol® range of products find some of their applications in preservation of concrete admixtures, building industry, preservation against microbial attack, preservation of natural and synthetic adhesives, in-can preservation of paints and dry film preservation of the coatings surface after application.
