Plastindia 2012 is the largest plastics exhibition in India, organized by the Plastindia foundation. This is the 8th edition of the exhibition and conference that took place this year from February 1, to February 6 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

Mr. Christof Krogmann, Vice President - Business Unit – Semi-Crystalline Products, Asia Pacific said that there are many nations present at the exhibition and it will further grow. It’s very interesting to see and right thing to do in India to represent our industry.

LANXESS showcased a range of high tech products from its business units Semi Crystalline Products, Inorganic Pigments and Functional Chemicals which include Durethan®, Pocan®, Bayferrox®, Colortherm®, Macrolex®, Mesamoll® and Ultramoll®. These products have applications in industries such as automotive, electronics, paints and coatings, construction and textile.

The Plastindia exhibition and conference was inaugurated by Mr. K. Jose Cyriac, Secretary to the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, the Government of India. Ms. Neelkamal Darbari, Joint Secretary, Petrochemicals also accompanied Mr. Cyriac to the inauguration ceremony.
