Automotive Compounds

BayprenBaypren® is a family of chloroprene rubber with diverse applications due to its attractive combination of key technical properties.
BayferroxBayferrox synthetic iron oxide pigments are widely used worldwide for coloring all types of concrete products, from ready-mixed concrete to tiles to grout. Of very high quality and rich in color, they are also popular in paints.
Cohedur®Cohedur bonding agents promote adhesion between elastic rubber and inelastic-but-durable material such as reinforcing carcasses or steel cords, which are combined to make long-lasting tires, conveyor belts, hoses, rubberized fabrics, containers, etc.
ColorthermColourtherm®  synthetic iron oxide pigments are widely used in plastics and are extremely stable across a broad range of weather and temperature extremes.
DurethanDurethan is a family of high-quality thermoplastics for engineering applications which offer an ideal combination of properties, such as high mechanical strength, high resistance to heat and good electrical insulation properties.
Glass FiberGlass fibers are used to strengthen thermoplastics such as polyamides, polypropylene and polyesters.
Vulkanol®Vulkanol® synthetic plasticizers are required as active ingredients to adjust the properties of vulcanizates, for example, to reduce hardness, modulus and tensile strength or to increase ultimate elongation and resilience.
Zinkoxyd AktivLANXESS zinc oxides are precipitated to offer a rather small range of particle size combined with a high surface area. On top these products are characterized by a very low heavy metal content.

Biodiesel

Lewatit® GFLewatit® GF  grades of resin  are used in the fuel industry for removal of impurities to produce high quality biodiesel.

Buna EP

Buna EP is a family of ethylene-propylene rubbers which are used for moldings in the construction and automotive industries, hoses, sheeting, seals, low voltage cable insulation, etc.

KrynacKrynac® is a family of oil-resistant synthetic rubbers manufactured by emulsion polymerization that are widely used in a number of industries, including the automotive industry.
PerbunanPerbunan® is a fast-curing synthetic rubber that is used for the manufacture of oil-resistant rubber articles.
Therban®Therban® is LANXESS high-performance specialty elastomer, specially designed for demanding applications requiring exceptional durability in aggressive environments. Therban performs well in extreme temperatures, fuel, oil, ozone, and abrasion.
Vulkacit®Vulcanization is the conversion of a high-molecular material from the plastic to the elastic state. One of the key chemical reactions in this process is that of rubber with sulfur. Sulfur vulcanization, widely used in the rubber industry, requires the use of vulcanization accelerators such as Vulkacit®.

Tires and Inner Liners

Bromobutyl RubberBromobutyl rubber is a butyl rubber derivative obtained by reacting butyl rubber with bromine. It has increased cure reactivity, higher compatibility with unsaturated polymers and enhanced adhesion compared to butyl rubber.
Butyl Rubber®Butyl rubber is a synthetic rubber produced by the polymerization of isobutene with a small amount of isoprene. It is impermeable to air and has many applications, ranging from inner tubes for tires to adhesives to sealants.
Chlorobutyl 1240Chlorobutyl rubber is a butyl rubber derivative obtained by reacting butyl rubber with chlorine. It has increased cure reactivity, higher compatibility with unsaturated polymers and enhanced adhesion compared to butyl rubber.
Buna® CBBuna CB is a highly elastic polybutadiene rubber that has a very high degree of resistance to dynamic stress, even at extremely low temperatures. Blending natural rubber or styrene butadiene rubber with Buna CB improves its abrasion resistance, crack resistance and heat build-up under dynamic load.
Buna® SEBuna SE is the family of general purpose emulsion styrene-butadiene rubbers, one of the most important types of synthetic rubber.
Buna VSLBuna VSL is a family of solution styrene-butadiene rubbers, which have different styrene and vinyl levels combined with varying viscosities, and are widely used in automobile tires.

PocanPocan is a range of semi-crystalline thermoplastic polyesters based on polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) and its blends.
