Bhavna Sharma is a senior executive of planning in the Advanced Industrial Intermediates department at the LANXESS plant in Nagda. Her responsibilities include all sort of planning for logistics and production. She manages the flow of raw materials into the plant and takes care of production planning and inventory management. She coordinates with sales, marketing, quality control and other departments, as well as with warehouses and the despatch department. She has 6 years of experience in the chemical industry.

On the LANXESS experience:

Being a part of LANXESS is a matter of pride for me. It’s not only because it is a large global company but also for its values, and its responsibility towards its employees and towards society. Within a very short span of time, LANXESS has done much for  social welfare locally in Nagda.

Learning is a long journey throughout life. LANXESS has given me the opportunity to learn how a large company runs. Being a part of the supply chain team, I came to know many aspects of business which cannot be learned through books. Taking the right decision at the right time is the key to success and I have learned how to take proper decisions at LANXESS.

Finally, working here with enjoyable and happy people makes work me. We at LANXESS work as a team and there is no “I” in our team.
 

On balancing work-life:

I have two kids. The time which I spend with them is my golden time. I have few hobbies as well. I like listening to music, and cooking is my passion. Cooking and serving good and delicious food to someone gives me pleasure. I also like to travel.
