The Rubber Chemicals plant serves the global rubber and mineral oil additive markets as well as the rapidly growing Indian tire and rubber market with high-quality LANXESS’ Vulkanox® antioxidants.

Vulkanox®:
Antidegradants such as Vulkanox® are chemicals which protect the vulcanizates against damaging through external influences. None of the antidegradants are universally effective, each has a definite spectrum of activity and characteristic effectiveness, and a definite propensity to discolor the goods if they are exposed to light. Staining antidegradants are generally more effective than non-staining ones. 

Ion Exchange Resins

The Ion Exchange Resins plant which was commenced in 2010 manufactures products for industrial water treatment, for the semiconductor and pharmaceutical industries, for food production and for power generation. There is a growing demand for clean water due to a booming population and the trend towards urbanization in India.

The Material Protection Products unit will provide a range of biocidal active ingredients and preservatives to sectors such as wood protection products, industrial preservatives, disinfectants and beverages.

Semi-Crystalline Products

Semi-Crystalline Products facility started producing the high-tech plastics Durethan and Pocan at the beginning of 2012. These products have applications in automotive, electronics, power tools and many other industries.

Durethan:
Durethan is a family of high-quality thermoplastics for engineering applications which offer an ideal combination of properties, such as high mechanical strength, high resistance to heat and good electrical insulation properties.
Durethan is a family of thermoplastics based on polyamide 6 and polyamide 66. Polyamides are partially crystalline plastics which offer an ideal combination of properties especially for technical applications. They combine a high mechanical strength and stiffness with good electrical insulation properties, a high resistance to heat and chemicals, low friction, good wear resistance and an outstanding ease of processing.

Pocan:
Pocan is a range of semi-crystalline thermoplastic polyesters based on polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) offered in unfilled and compounded grades . Pocan grades of engineering hermoplastics are noted for their high mechanical properties , high heat resistance, excellent dimensional stability, good electrical insulation properties , good processibility.
