LANXESS Rubber Day India 2013
With over 300 guests from different suppliers to the automotive industries attending the LANXESS Rubber Day India 2013, the conference titled ‘High tech rubber for mobility and emerging trends’ turned out to be a great success. It re-inforced LANXESS’ position as the market leader and experts of synthetic rubber and showed its commitment to support the automotive industry with its innovative rubber technologies.
Waste Water Post Treatment Plant, Nagda
The new ‘Waste water post treatment plant’ will treat the discharge from the existing Effluents Treatment Plant (ETP) in a manner that virtually no liquid effluents are discharged from the site. More importantly, the treated water recovered can be used for the production processes and even as boiler feed, which will bridge the gap in availability of water during the summer months.
LANXESS at the Indo-German Urban Mela (April, 2012)
As a part of the German year in India celebrations, LANXESS was present at the Indo-German Urban Mela hosted at Cross Maidan in Mumbai from April 13 to April 22, 2012. The exclusively designed LANXESS pavilion at the ‘Mela’ was highly interactive and was laid out to capture elements of the global megatrends like mobility, urbanization and water.
The games showcased at the pavilion were meant to illustrate to users how some of the basic applications in our daily lives involve high performance chemical technology. For example, LANXESS helped establish the role of tires in a safe and fuel-efficient journey through a game that took the player through various hurdles on a road. Similarly, one could see ion exchange resins from LANXESS thematically in action while the player could purify water.
LANXESS at Plastindia (February 2012)
For the first time the specialty chemicals company participated in the international plastics fair in New Delhi, where it presented its latest products and technologies. - Shortly beforehand LANXESS had officially inaugurated a new facility for manufacturing high-tech plastics at its site in Jhagadia.
Music for the German-Indian friendship (June 2011)
More than 50 young musicians from Germany and India of the Young Euro Classic Orchestra, sponsored by LANXESS had a n exceptional gig on May 31st in New Dehli. Guests of honor at the concert included Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel, India’s Parliamentary Speaker Meira Kumar and a delegation including LANXESS’s CEO Axel Heitmann. They met to celebrate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of India and the Federal Republic of Germany. This was the kick-off event for joint celebrations organized under the tagline “Germany and India 2011-2012: Infinite Opportunities”.
