LANXESS India sponsored Azeotropy’09, which was held March 7-8, 2009 at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, one of the country’s most prestigious technology institutes.

Azeotropy’09 was jointly organized by IIT Bombay and the Chemical Engineering Association. Azeotropy’09’s tag line was “We mean Green” - perfectly in tune with LANXESS’ commitment to environmental protection and sustainability.  LANXESS wanted to encourage young chemical engineers to come up with technologies to combat pollution and therefore sponsored the poster and paper competition at the event.
