The LANXESS India Nagda site is located around 125 kms away from Indore in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The operations in Nagda are a part of the Advanced Industrial Intermediates business unit of LANXESS. The products manufactured at this site are supplied to the domestic market and exported to countries around the world, for a wide range of end applications like agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, dyestuff, fragrances, paints and coatings among others.

The site in Nagda, spanning more than 20 hectares, has consistently delivered outstanding results with a constant focus on quality and customer satisfaction. LANXESS is significantly investing in the site on sustainability projects, process improvements and further expansions.

The site has been setting new standards of sustainability in the Indian chemical industry. It has adopted various world class practices. For example, the site is ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certified and follows innovative practices like Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Total Quality Management (TQM) and energy saving ‘Kaizen’.

Besides the production facilities, the site boasts of utility services like:

  • Cogeneration plant fuelled by biomass, saves around 120,000 tons of CO2 emissions every year
  • Effluent treatment plant
  • Sewage treatment plant
  • Waste water post treatment plant
  • Off-gas incinerator
  • Occupational health centre

LANXESS has also carried out several corporate social responsibility projects in the area of education and for protection of the environment in the region.
