As a part of new CSR initiative, LANXESS donates Digital X- Ray machine to Civil Hospital in Nagda

Nagda, October 9, 2015: LANXESS, the global specialty chemicals company having a manufacturing facility in Nagda, has taken the initiative to donate a Digital X – Ray Machine to the Civil Hospital in Nagda, Madhya Pradesh. With the installation of the new machine, Nagda will be the first civil Hospital in the entire district of Ujjain with the ultra-modern facility. The installation will facilitate the residents of Nagda and the nearby villagers getting accurately diagnosed at reasonable and affordable cost.  

The cheque of Rs. 9.50 lakhs was handed over by Mr. Neelanjan Banerjee, Senior Executive Director, LANXESS India to Mr. Dilip Singh Shekhawat local MLA and President, Rogi Kalyan Samiti from Civil Hospital Nagda in a ceremony at the Civil Hospital. A number of eminent dignitaries from the local administration and the hospital were present at the event.

On this occasion, Mr. Neelanjan Banerjee said, “At LANXESS, we have always endeavored to contribute positively to the lives of the people in Nagda and would continue to do so. We have been constantly expanding our community outreach programmes and this is one such step towards improving the quality of life of the people in the area.”

Mr. Sanjay Singh, Head - Nagda Site, LANXESS India said, “We are always on the lookout to make meaningful contributions to the lives of people in Nagda and neighboring regions. This Digital X Ray machine project was an urgent need for the community and we responded to their request. We hope this machine will not only benefit people from the local areas but also the surrounding population.”
