LANXESS India honored by CONCOR for its increased focus on Rail Transport

LANXESS India Private Limited has been identified and appreciated by Container Corporation of India (CONCOR), for its continuous efforts in the movement of Export containers for pre-carriage in India by RAIL for the products manufactured at Jhagadia for the year 2015-2016. Set up in 1988, CONCOR is a network of 64 terminals, offering scheduled and on demand rapid rail and road services between the hinterland and ports, and between terminals across the country. The recognition was conferred to LANXESS India for moving export consignment of almost 1167 TEUs (Twenty feet equivalent) via RAIL.

Rajiv Gaur, General Manager and Head of Procurement and Logistics, along with Kalpathy Ramakrishnan, Associate GM – Head of Logistics, and Pramod Kirdat, Manager – Outbound Logistics and Excise accepted the trophy and certificate from CONCOR on behalf of LANXESS India at the 20th Annual CONCOR Awards held on the 12th of November, 2016.

On this occasion, Rajiv said, “We are extremely delighted to see the results of a humble beginning where we started with a few containers for exports and the number or percentage has steadily increased to > 90. We wish to replicate the same for imports. We feel responsible and at the same time contended by doing our bit for safety and environment. I would also like to thank all involved from logistics, finance, BUs and plants for various challenges encountered and for supporting our efforts to make this changeover from ROAD to RAIL a grand success.”
