LANXESS supports schools in Jhagadia

In order to celebrate the 63rd Republic Day in India, LANXESS India Private Limited, a part of the global specialty chemicals group, having a manufacturing plant in Jhagadia, has undertaken an initiative to support the education of children in and around Jhagadia.

Through this initiative, LANXESS is helping upgrade the infrastructure at two government schools, Prathmik Mishrashala, Fulwadi and Prathmik Shala, Kapalsadi located near its site in Jhagadia. The offices and the common areas in schools have been provided with notice boards, and the classrooms would now have green boards. The students of these schools will be supported with some essential items like slate, notebook, writing and coloring instruments, sports articles and cloth bags among others.

LANXESS has arranged to paint the classrooms and corridors in both these schools. This will help provide the right ambience for the students and make them feel better in their learning abode.

For the students to feel energized towards studies, it is essential that the students have a ground to play, where the school can also carry out various group activities. This will ensure that they have a good physical training alongside their academic curriculum. LANXESS has constructed the ground in both these schools.

On this occasion, Dr. Dattaprasad Talekar, Senior Executive Director, LANXESS India and Site Head - Jhagadia said, “School education is essential for social and economic development. It is essential for India for its large young population for overall development. Students need to be educated to shape their future and that is possible through the empowerment that education offers. We therefore believe in supporting education in whatever way we can.”
