LANXESS conducts HIV-AIDS awareness programme at its site in Jhagadia

LANXESS, a global specialty chemicals company is spreading the message of being a responsible corporate citizen through activities along with customers as partners. The leading tyre manufacturer and a valued customer of LANXESS, Apollo Tyres has conducted a one day workshop on HIV and its related issues, at the manufacturing site of LANXESS in Jhagadia site.

The objective of this program was to create awareness about HIV/AIDS and its possible causes, prevention of the disease, mitigation of the impact of HIV/AIDS in the workplace, care and support of workers infected and affected by HIV/AIDS and elimination of stigma and discrimination on the basis of real or perceived HIV status.

Overall 20 people from different departments attended this program. It was an interactive session and was well received by the workforce at LANXESS. Everyone appreciated that this session improved their understanding about HIV-AIDS.
