LANXESS India supports SNEH in Nagda, Madhya Pradesh

Donates Rs. 5 lakhs in support of differently abled children

Specialty Chemicals Company LANXESS India today donates Rs. 5 Lakhs to Special Need Education Home (SNEH) in Nagda, Madhya Pradesh, to help provide a holistic approach to life for 21 differently abled children. This is in keeping with LANXESS’ global values of making a difference to communities wherever it operates.

 

LANXESS India’s support to SNEH will cover infrastructure improvement and the buying of new equipment to cater to the needs of the physically and mentally challenged children.

 

Having recently entered Nagda, the company has committed itself to help improve the well-being of the local community. The donation to SNEH underlines this commitment.

 

Neelanjan Banerjee, Director of LANXESS India, says, “LANXESS India believes that its corporate citizenship programs should go beyond its business boundaries and directly benefit the local community. We share the dream of the community to nurture young minds and encourage children to go forward and be the best that they can be.”

 

As a part of its corporate citizenship program, LANXESS India has been supporting social organizations, such as Bombay Teen Challenge, Save The Children India in Mumbai and Aparajitha Foundations in Madurai—all of which aims to provide better education and livelihood to the children.

 

About SNEHSpecial Need Education Home (SNEH) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) working towards the betterment of differently abled children. With some of the children being either physically or mentally challenged, SNEH endeavors to make them self-reliable by providing them with vocational training and occupational therapy.
