Stree Mukti Sanghatana

In order to facilitate medical aid to the slum dwellers, LANXESS in association with Stree Mukti Sangathana (SMS) conducted a series of health check-up camps along with mental health workshops. The health check-up for women and men and Jidnyasa program for boys and girls in the age group 14+ were conducted. Jidnyasa program involved detailed workshops and interactive sessions with students in 8th, 9th and 10th standard with the curriculum bifurcated into different modules, namely- adolescence, stress management, occupations, values, addiction and sex education. Children aged between 10-13 years were given Tejaswini training which included speaking with children openly on topics such as self-identity, community mapping and anatomy besides teaching them how to make dolls and dairies, writing letters to their mothers, good touch - bad touch etc.

The sessions were conducted in Marathi and Hindi language from December 10, 2018 to December 30, 2018. The project received support and appreciation by all the members of the target group.
