LANXESS Inorganic Pigments Gains A Competitive edge from Premier products

German Chemicals Company LANXESS AG with its Inorganic Pigments business unit is participating in Chinaplas 2010 in Shanghai and showcasing itself as a sustainable partner with premier quality and technical expertise.

LANXESS Inorganic Pigments is featuring its line of inorganic pigments for plastics coloring, including the industry leading high-performance Bayferrox®, Colortherm® and Chrome Oxide pigment ranges.  The extraordinarily lightfast and weather-stable products are distinguished by their outstanding quality and simple and environmentally compatible processing.

“We also provide our customers with technical assistance with questions of colormatching and pigment dosing,” says, Dr. Wolfgang Oehlert, Vice President for the Inorganic Pigments business unit for Asia Pacific, adding: “information is provided for all stages of the processing, ranging from the initial steps of facility planning to the final completion of the unit. Our industry leading product lines are designed to help the customer to increase their production efficiency. This holds true especially when it comes to the achievement of color consistency and ease of processability.”

Inorganic pigments from the Bayferrox®, Colortherm® and Chrome Oxide pigment lines are not only proven performers for plastics coloring, they also have a decades-long record of performance for the coloration of paints and coatings, the coloration of concrete, paper, and for use as specialty pigments for toner and other applications. LANXESS Inorganic Pigments has an international production network with total synthesis capacity of more than 350,000 metric tons p.a. The resulting leading position for inorganic colored pigments is to be expanded further in the future. LANXESS is planning to achieve this by expanding capacities, further product improvements and innovations for new applications for iron and chrome oxides.

The Inorganic Pigments business unit belongs to the Performance Chemicals segment, which achieved total sales in fiscal 2009 of EUR 1,530 million.
