Beamhouse range of products showcased

India International Leather Fair (IILF) has all along been a vivid presentation of the leather industry in India. This premier event was organized by India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) and was held from February 1 - 3, 2014, at Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam, Chennai.

This year, IILF had on display the entire range of products relating to leather industry from raw material to finished products and auxiliary products. It showcased latest expressions of the trends, styles, designs and colours in world fashion.

At IILF, LANXESS showcased its new advanced technologies and service concept focused on the beamhouse. Product display at the fair represented all the innovations possible in Leather using LANXESS products. Leather and leather products on display gave the visitors a first-hand experience of the advantage of partnering with LANXESS in the leather business.

LANXESS showcased the Peltec range of beamhouse products, which has enabled it to perfect the high performance products in all four areas of application – soaking, unhairing/liming, deliming and bating. LANXESS also exhibited the highly innovative X-Zyme process which has been developed in an exclusive partnership with the Danish company Novozymes A/S, Bagsværd, the world market-leader for synthetically produced enzymes. The system which exploits two microbially based enzymes in soaking and liming that can considerably increase the quality of the hides, reduce the amount of waste and significantly improve the efficiency of the entire process.
