On 10th January 2012, LANXESS inaugurates two new production facilities at Jhagadia site. These production facilities belong to Rhein Chemie Additives and Material Protection Products business units.

On January 12, 2011, Dr. Rainier van Roessel, Member of Board of Management, LANXESS AG, Dr. Joerg Strassburger- Country representative and Managing Director, LANXESS India and Dr. D.G. Talekar- Executive Director and Site Head - Jhagadia, LANXESS India sign a MOU with local officials for the high-tech plastics investment at ‘Vibrant Gujarat’ summit held in Gandhinagar

On January 13, 2011 LANXESS breaks ground for new compounding facilities. These facilities will start producing the high-tech plastics Durethan and Pocan at the beginning of 2012.

December 2010
LANXESS opens Asia’s state-of-the-art plant for ion exchange resins, which boasts an annual capacity of 35,000 metric tons.

March 2010
LANXESS completes the first phase of construction of its new site and starts the production of the rubber chemicals plant, as planned, after being relocated from Thane, Maharashtra.

April 2009
On the occasion of World Earth Day LANXESS announces the creation of a Green Zone at its Jhagadia site in Gujarat, India.

January 2009
LANXESS India signs a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Gujarat state government. The investment will create about 225 new jobs.

January 2008
LANXESS announces to relocate the rubber chemicals production from Thane to Jhagadia.

August 2007
LANXESS announces to build new ion exchange facility in India in the state of Gujarat. Construction work on the EUR 30 million site at the new Jhagadia Chemical Park near Baroda is set to begin in the second quarter of 2008. Production is scheduled to start at the beginning of 2010, with 200 new employees being taken on.
