LANXESS participates as a city partner
After an impressive display at Mumbai, the LANXESS pavilion once again makes its presence felt at the ‘Indo-German Urban Mela’ in Indraprastha Millennium Park, New Delhi from October 27 to November 4, 2012.
The “Indo-German Urban Mela” is a set of modern multi-purpose pavilions, designed especially for the year of Germany in India by renowned German artist Markus Heinsdorff. The concept behind the “Indo-German Urban Mela” combines design elements from both countries with state-of-the-art textile technology, thereby creating a symbiosis of art, architecture and technology.
The Indo-German Urban Mela is part of the celebrations titled ‘Germany and India 2011 - 2012: Infinite Opportunities’ that commemorates 60 years of Indo-German diplomatic ties. Here, 16 specially designed multi-purpose pavilions will showcase solutions on sustainable growth to reduce impact of urbanization. The LANXESS pavilion presents solutions based on its global megatrends urbanization, mobility and water. The specially developed games of ‘Wheels of the future’ and ‘Dart the dirt’ are used to highlight LANXESS’ sustainable solutions. Several eye catching infographics educate the visitors about their benefits.
Apart from the pavilions, the mela also features several music bands, dance shows, workshops, exhibitions and guided tours of the entire mela. Visitors can also enjoy German delicacies in the Beergarden, which is also a part of this event.
The Indo-German Urban Mela, Delhi is the fourth stopover of the planned five city tour. After Delhi, the mela will move to the last city, Pune. LANXESS has participated as the city partner for Mumbai and Delhi cities.
