LANXESS partnered with Bombay Teen Challenge, a non-profit agency, to help Mumbai’s street children in health, education, social welfare and rehabilitation.
Through Bombay Teen Challenge, LANXESS India took care of tuition expenses for 76 children. Furthermore, LANXESS India provided lunch and sundry expenses for those, among these children, who have been rescued and are looked after by Bombay Teen Challenge. In addition, LANXESS India employees painted the Bombay Teen Challenge shelter at Gole Deol in Mumbai on December 28, 2007, with paint donated by LANXESS.
In August 2010, employees of LANXESS India organized a football match and awarded these children for their good sportsmanship and team spirit with gifts and hamburgers. Also, LANXESS India employees donated clothes and toys to Bombay Teen Challenge.
Bombay Teen Challenge
Bombay Teen Challenge is a non-profit NGO recognized by the Government of India and is registered under the BPT Act F –14248. The NGO is engaged in activities of Health, Education, Social Welfare and Rehabilitation of drug addicted boys and youth, women trapped in prostitution, the at-risk daughters of prostitutes and other girls vulnerable to the sex industry and street children who are vulnerable to abuse and exploitation especially beggar children.
