LANXESS India, at its Nagda site supports the community in the neighbourhood as a part of its commitment to promote the welfare of people. In a novel effort to help women seek vocational training, sewing and embroidery machines and peripherals were provided to two schools in that region.
The Labour Welfare Board of the Government of Madhya Pradesh organizes various vocational training programmes, one of them being free training in sewing for women and girl children belonging to the families of labours/workers. Nagda is one of the locations where around 30 women are currently trained at such a sewing training center. LANXESS India helped them with four sewing machines, two embroidery machines and peripherals like ceiling fans, water purifier, etc.
