LANXESS has helped in setting up of a stitching centre for under privileged women at Durgupara village in Nagda. This has been accomplished by contributing for stitching equipment like embroidery machines, sewing machines, chairs and upgrading the civil infrastructure inside the premises. The infrastructure support for the centre includes a water storage tank, a water purifier, cupboards, benches and chairs as well as tailoring aids like scissors, measuring tapes etc. All women in the village including some girl students will benefit from this stitching centre by acquiring necessary skills to later develop this as a source of income. The stitching school was inaugurated on December 22, 2012, at a simple ceremony in Durgapura village.
